A person who became trapped in a grain silo in Franklin County on Friday was safely taken to the hospital after a several-hour rescue effort, according to agencies that responded to the incident.
The Washington County Division of Emergency Services in Maryland, Rescue Hose Company No. 1 in Greencastle, Hagerstown (Md.) Fire Department and other fire crews from Maryland and Pennsylvania responded to an address near Greencastle just before 11 a.m., according to multiple Facebook posts.
